Amazon Access Key ID
ID required for access to the Amazon E-Commerce Services. To obtain your Amazon Access Key you need to register with Amazon Webservices. You will subsequently find your key under Your Web Service Account | AWS Access Identifiers.

Amazon Associate IDs
You need these Associate IDs (together with your Amazon Access Key ID) in order to generate income with the mediaANT Sidebar for Amazon. To obtain the respective Associate IDs, you need to participate in the individual Associate programs of the international Amazon (TM) sites. The Associate programs function independently of each other! For example, it is not possible to use the Associate ID of the Amazon.com Associate program with another Amazon (TM) site! If there is one Associate program you do not wish to participate in, just leave the respective field without an entry.

Amazon service location
Defines which Amazon E-Commerce Service should be used by default.

Consider browser location
Here you can define if the country settings of the visitor’s browser should be taken into consideration when selecting from the Amazon E-Commerce Services. If yes, visitors from France, e.g., will automatically be shown items from Amazon.fr.
Browser settings which cannot be allocated to the countries of USA, Canada, Germany, France, United Kingdom or Japan will use Amazon.com. Test this function by changing the country settings in your own browser: Internet Explorer: Tools | Internet Options | Languages => the top country in the list will apply.

Amazon product group
The product group within which a search is to be conducted. Depending on the selected Amazon E-Commerce Service, different product groups are available. List of available product groups

Proxy
Optional. The address of the proxy server connecting your server to the internet (e.g., http://myproxy:8080 ).

Initial items
Defines which articles should be displayed to the customer initially in the Sidebar.
Keyword: The Keyword associated with the item to be shown.
Except for ASINs: Amazon IDs of items not to be considered during keyword search.
ASIN: The Amazon IDs of the items to be shown. Separate individual ASINs with commas!

Important! The search always relates to the selected product group!

Tip: If the ASIN search does not generate any results, the keyword search runs in addition! This could occur, e. g., when "Consider browser location" (see above) has been activated and the Amazon Associate shop in the visitor's country does not carry the item. For this reason you should always enter a value into "Keyword" when you use the ASIN search function.

Initial items cache
Number of hours for which the initial items are to be stored in the cache. Please make sure to consult the Amazon Web Services Licensing Agreements with regard to caching! For example, price and availability information may not be stored longer than 1 hour!

Max search results

Page size
The number of items per page to be shown in the Sidebar.

Cache user search
